How to send Jewellery by courier

Prerequisites:

Bubble wrap
Parcel tape
Manufacturer's box or secure cardboard box
Outer cardboard box, if using the manufacturers box

A cardboard box must be used for the outer packaging due to COVID-19 handling restrictions.

Before sending watches or jewellery by courier, please take a few minutes to read our packing advice/

When preparing your watches or items of jewellery for shipping, where possible, please use the original manufacturers packaging. They are specifically designed to hold the items in place and to provide a high level of protection. If you do not have the manufacturers box, most high street jewellers sell watch and jewellery boxes. Please select one that provides a high degree of internal cushioning.

Even if you are using the manufacturers packaging, we would recommend enclosing them within an additional cardboard box, with the item wrapped in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap and placed inside the box. Please use a new box where possible, as you do not want any risk of damage to the item. Please ensure that the item cannot move around. You can test this by shaking the box and adding additional packaging material if needed.

Avoid anything that reveals the contents, such as manufacturers boxes with the logo visible. Always enclose them in a plain outer box, with no markings that would draw attention to the parcel contents.

We also recommend placing an additional copy of the parcel label within the box, should the label affixed to the exterior become defaced or detached during transit, this will allow the consignment to be identified.

Once you are happy that the items are adequately packed, seal the box with parcel tape, paying particular attention to the seams and edges and applying the tape in 2 directions. Once completed, print off and attach your parcel label to the box. If you are sending outside of the United Kingdom, you will also need to attach a commercial invoice to the box, this must be visible to the driver. Please do not put it inside the box.

If you are returning your item for service or repair, outside of the United Kingdom, you will also need a commercial invoice for Customs clearance. We will provide all Customs paperwork, free of charge.

If you require a reliable courier for jewellery or watches, please enter you details above to get an instant quote.
