The process of sending a phone overseas is pretty much the same as shipping one in the UK, the only difference is that you will require Customs paperwork. We generate all documentation automatically for you, during the booking process. Please be aware that the receiver may be liable for duty in the destination Country. There are some Countries where it is prohibited to send mobile phones, please check the local restrictions prior to sending.

How to pack a mobile phone for shipping

Prerequisites:

Bubble wrap
Parcel tape
Cardboard box

When you send a mobile phone by courier, there are a few things to consider.

Mobile phones and tablets containing lithium-ion batteries, each package may not contain more than 2 batteries which must be contained within the electronic device. No more than 2 packages per consignment are allowed. If you have more than this, they must be booked as separate consignments. We cannot carry Samsung Galaxy Note7 or Samsung Note 7 devices.

When preparing them for shipping, where possible, use the original manufacturers packaging. Even with the manufacturers packaging being used, we would recommend enclosing them within an additional cardboard box, with the device wrapped in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap and placed inside the box. You can find a suitable box at most supermarkets for free. Shake the box to ensure that the device cannot move around during transit. If there is any movement, fill any gaps with additional packaging materials.

Once the packing is complete, seal the box with parcel tape, paying particular attention to the seams and edges and applying the tape in 2 directions. Once completed, print off and attach your parcel label to the box.

If returning your device under warranty or for repair, outside of the United Kingdom, you will need to complete a commercial invoice for Customs clearance. We will provide all Customs paperwork, free of charge.
