Sending a tent within the UK

We offer various services for next day tent delivery within the UK and have timed delivery options available, as well as the choice of dropping off at the post office, or one of the service points.

How to pack a tent for shipping

1. Ensure that the tent is clean and dry.
2. Lay the tent out, so that is flat on the ground and close any zips. Fold the tent from the outside inwards and then carefully roll up the tent. Once rolled up, it can be wrapped in either 2 or 3 layers of bubble wrap, or packed in its original bag.
3. For the groundsheet and flysheet, you can follow the same procedure.
4. The tent poles can be tied together and wrapped in bubble wrap.
5. Guy lines, pegs and ropes can be placed in a plastic bag.

Once everything is packed up, select a box large enough to hold everything and fill any voids with additional packaging materials, such as packaging peanuts or bubble wrap. Please use new cardboard boxes where possible, as they provide far better protection than used boxes. If using old boxes, please remove any labels that were previously attached. When you are happy with the packaging, seal the box closed and attach an address label. We will send you a parcel label to attach to the box also.

I send my work worldwide on a regular basis and I now use Overland Express for all my shipping. I have used Overland Express for 2…

I have used Overland Express for 2 years now. I use them to ship bass guitars which are a very large item and have found that they offer the best prices and a good choice of options.
But you only find out how good a company is when things go wrong. Recently there was an issue with a return to a shop, they had the item but due to a mix up within the shop the parcel was never booked in.
I would like to thank the guys at OE for the work you guys put in to help resolve this issue. With some shippers you can`t even speak to a real person never mind get someone to help you with a problem so having someone who you can e mail or speak to on the phone, helped resolve the issue with the shop.

Needed to send my late husband's guitar…

Needed to send my late husband's guitar plus accessories to a family member.
I've never used a carrier other than Royal Mail before and was a bit nervous. (The parcel was too large for Royal Mail and I'd been warned against using a certain other carrier.)
The Overland Express website gave very helpful advice on how to prepare the guitar and protect it for transit.
I found the firm's customer service to be excellent. I was worried because online tracking informed me that only one parcel had been delivered. I phoned and got an answer straight away. Tom (I think) checked online for me and was very reassuring.
The second parcel was indeed delivered later in the day.

A. All of our services are door to door delivery, so you can send tents and camping equipment to camp sites, Hotels, or any other address. Please make sure that someone will be available to receive your camping equipment.

A. You can ship camping stoves with us, just not propane or butane cylinders. If the stove uses fuel, it must be drained of all liquids and cleaned thoroughly before sending. We cannot ship fuel.
Q. Can you collect a tent that I bought on eBay?
A. We can collect from any physical street address, just not PO boxes or BFPO addresses. Please provide a contact number for the collection point, this will assist the driver.
Q. Can you send a tent in the post?
A. You most certainly can, just be sure to read our packing instructions above to send a tent safely.
Q. How much does it cost to post a tent?
A. Our Parcel Force drop off rate is £9.65 + vat and covers you for a parcel weighing up to 30kg and is delivered the next working day throughout the UK mainland.
